In her exhibition, Chellis Baird paves the entryway of Nevelson Chapel with her sculptural paintings. Baird’s work lies at the intersection of painting, sculpture, and textiles. She believes that through texture, evidence of the human hand, and emotional sensations through color, one can move the viewer’s eye from screens to the physical world.
